Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate
Sagent Pharmaceuticals - Schaumburg, IL -- September 2017 to December 2019

  • Format and edit label copy in accordance with FDA guidelines and regulations with extreme accuracy and quality.

  • Work within a flexible framework to meet all regulatory requirements and CMO and business requirements wherever possible.

  • Cross train on multiple functions on the labeling team to maintain a fluid and responsive work environment

  • Researched several companies to acquire the appropriate scanning equipment for barcode reading and train the labeling team on the workings of the barcode reader.

  • Shift labeling priorities including label copy development, proofreading, and updating based on partner or FDA requests.

  • Prepare and critically review labeling files for labeling at all stages of the development life cycle (including submission, deficiency, launch and commercially available labeling) and understanding unique requirement sat each phase.

  • Interface with CMO's (oversight of projects, conference calls, etc.) and internal stakeholders to create and update label copy for FDA submissions or to respond to deficiencies or RLD updates.

  • Knowledge of patent/exclusivity carve-outs desired.

  • Support managers in maintaining quality systems for labeling (barcode assignments, NDC assignments, version control at all lifecycle stages, change controls (author, compile, approve), file management and the review, maintenance, management, and version control of SPL files for drug listing, submissions, establishment registrations, etc.

  • Sound manual and electronic proofreading skills required - must be able to site specific experience; extensive experience in the use of PC-Based word processing software, databases, and spreadsheets, including Microsoft Office Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Illustrator. Experience in document comparison software a plus.

  • Knowledge of SPL creation and Drug Listing/Establishment Registration submissions, labeler code requests, regulations, and guidance.

  • Built Creative Services department from the ground up, managed 7 people, worked with Ad agencies and outside vendors, along with entire Astellas company.
